Ch�ry, Jean Baptiste 1954 Jean Baptiste Ch�ry was born in Cap-Haitian in July 1954. His father was a bricklayer and the caretaker of the "Citadelle Laferri�re", the famous fort built by King Christophe. Ch�ry holds a diploma in mechanics, but very early on drawing was his real passion. In 1973 he joined the art Studio of Philom� Obin who taught him what he calls "the primitive technique". Jean Baptiste Ch�ry started showing his paintings in 1980. Since then he has participated in numerous collective exhibits in Haiti, the United States and Europe. |
